While PowerPoint presentations are a staple of modern business, when you travel, you never know what kind of hardware will be available. Will the computers at your destination have compatible software? Hardware? Will your added media function correctly? That is why it is much easier to convert your PowerPoint presentations to flash animation on the go. You will still be able to embed audio and visual media, and all your specialty transitions will still work well.
- Download the iSpring install software. You can go to their website and click on the big green download box in the center of the page. You will need to save the install software to continue.
-
Install iSpring. Click on the file you just downloaded. An install window will pop up. Accept the terms of use and click through the various dialog boxes. When the program has finished downloading, restart your computer.
-
Import your PowerPoint presentation Open iSpring and select “Quick Publish” to rapidly save your PowerPoint presentation as a flash animation. If you want to add additional flash effects, you may do so by selecting them from the toolbar and selecting “Custom Publish.”
-
Set additional options. Before you save you can set options like individual slide times and transition duration. You can also set advanced options like HTML support.
-
Upload it to the Internet. Although you could save your flash video to an external hard drive or flash drive, many times it is much easier just to upload it to the Internet. iSpring has native support for SlideBoom, which will host your PowerPoint projects for free.
-
If you would rather use a different video hosting service, you can always upload your PowerPoint videos to other video-sharing sites like YouTube, Veoh, and MegaVideo.
