Howdy,
I have a developer creating a flash application for me. One of the components is a movie file player. That component works however the movie files need to be small (around a meg or less) in order for the movie to play smoothly on a modern android phone. From what I've heard, this could be due to the movie file being "loaded into memory" on the phone (and thus, running out of memory) rather than "streaming". Does anyone know if it is possible to "stream" a video file that is actually on the same phone that is playing it, rather than load the entire movie into the phone's memory? As a test, streaming movies from the internet on the phone work just fine, so we know it's not the phone having an overall movie file compatability issue or anything.
I just stumbled upon your site and will be saving it for future reference and reading. :)

Hey guys.
I'm a newbie of ActionScript and teaching myself to make some first flash movies. Now I'm working with a flash slide-show template. I will discribe it:
I want to make a flash movie that will load all the images (with unknown names) inside a folder named "images", and display it one by one, with "next" and "previous" buttons.
The thing is, I want to show THE FILE NAME of each image along with that image displayed. It sounds like: I have a .exe file and a folder contains 3 images named: "imageA.jpg", "imageB.jpg", and "imageC.jpg". Then I double-click the .exe file, the slide-show pop-up and show the first image, with the text "imageA" behind it. Click the next button, and the second image show up with "imageB" text, and so on...

How can I do it within Flash? I'm trying weeks with Flash CS4 and can't find the solution.
Sorry for my bad English

BIG Thanks for reading and helping, hopefuly.

Actionscript 3: I would like to draw in flash (actionscript 3) with point labels with data from an xml file. Point A might represent building 1, Point B building 2, Point C building 3 etc. If there is a collaboration between building 1 and 3 it would generate a line. If there is a reverse collaboration between building 3 and 1, the line would be thicker or another color, since now there are 2 collaborations. This would build to 10 or more buildings and lines might connect 2 buildings or up to10 buildings with some buildings having more than 1 collaboration (thicker lines). Not well explained here but I am trying to generate these lines and easily change them with the xml file.
thanks
