How to Install Flash Player 10 on OpenSuse and Suse

Scripts

  • Check if you have flashplayer already installed on system.

root@opensuse:~ # rpm -qa | grep flash
flash-player-9.0.124.0-10.1

  • To uninsall it type:

root@opensuse:~ # rpm -e flash-player

  • Download the flashplayer from adobe  ( tar.gz version for linux)
  • Unzip or untar the archive and close  all the browsers.

root@opensuse:~#  tar -zxvf install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz

root@opensuse:~# cd install_flash_player_10_linux

root@opensuse:~/install_flash_player_10_linux> ./flashplayer-installer

To confirm successful installation launch your Firefox browser and in the address bar type “about:plugins” and press enter
