Howdy,
I have a developer creating a flash application for me. One of the components is a movie file player. That component works however the movie files need to be small (around a meg or less) in order for the movie to play smoothly on a modern android phone. From what I’ve heard, this could be due to the movie file being “loaded into memory” on the phone (and thus, running out of memory) rather than “streaming”. Does anyone know if it is possible to “stream” a video file that is actually on the same phone that is playing it, rather than load the entire movie into the phone’s memory? As a test, streaming movies from the internet on the phone work just fine, so we know it’s not the phone having an overall movie file compatability issue or anything.
I just stumbled upon your site and will be saving it for future reference and reading.
